Eagle Watch in Art

Just for fun I’ve had this ‘live eagle cam’ up as the students enter the Art Room.  It’s quite interesting to view weekly how fast the two eaglets grow.

Samson (left) and Gabrielle (right) in the nest
This is an established nest that had live cams installed several years ago and I’ve enjoyed sharing this every couple of years. This year two different eagles took the nest, Samson and Gabrielle.  Samson was hatched in this nest back in 2013-2014. This educational site has been fascinating to me. I really love watching the eagles around here, and this site gives a view in the nest! Nature at it’s finest.

Please check this site out and learn much more about the history of this nest, current information and supporters. Plus there are many more live cam links to other nests. Depending on the time of year some nests will have new families and other nests will fill as the weather permits. Enjoy!

So . . . in this time of enrichment at a distance I thought how fun it would be to add some links to drawing eagles.

I like this site because of the step by step with basic shapes. This helps placement on your paper and drawing big enough to add details.
